S~ Again and again, the Lord has sent you his prophets, but you have not listened or even tried to hear. Each time the message was this: “Turn from the evil road you are traveling and from the evil things you are doing.” Jeremiah 25:4,5 (NLT)
O~ Jeremiah was talking to the people, he says in verse 3 how in the past twenty three years he has faithfully passed on the messages he has been receiving from the Lord-but they would not listen.
A~ As I read this I thought of the story of the Ninevites when Jonah warned them to turn from their evil ways or they will be destroyed. And they turned! These are God’s people and they would not listen and turn. But then I remember that the Ninevites eventually went back to their evil ways. And this makes me so thankful for Jesus. So thankful for your mercy and love for me, for us.
P~ Heavenly Father, thank you for Jesus! Thank you for your Holy Spirit who comforts, counsels and guides. Help me be humble before you and listen to you. I love you.
