April 13, 2019 Joshua 3,4; Romans 8:1-17

“There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:42 (NLT) The heart of this ministry is to inspire a love for God’s Word and encourage the discipline of daily Bible reading and SOAP journaling. These are a few of our SOAP notes from today’s reading. We encourage you to read and journal on your own first, then join us in conversation about what God revealed to YOU today. Click HERE to go directly to the daily reading if you wish.

S~ And those twelve stones, which they took out of the Jordan, Joshua set up at Gilgal. Joshua 4:20 (ESV)

O~ These 12 stones were taken, one by each tribe, from the riverbed of the Jordan River as they passed over it. The Lord parted the water so they could walk right into the Promised Land on dry ground – just like He parted the Red Sea when they left Egypt. They were to keep the stones as a reminder of what God had done. Then also if their children asked what they were they could share the story.

A~ I like having visual reminders of significant events in my spiritual life. It reminds me how God met me in different seasons. I haven’t really had any new, visual reminders lately. This inspires me to be on the lookout for opportunities to create one, though. They encourage me and start great conversation about You.

P~ Lord, help me to see ways I can visually remember how You have moved in my life. Help me to find opportunities to tell my children – and others – how awesome You are. I love You!

Our team would love the privilege of praying for you! Please share how we can lift you in prayer at prayer@DiscoverOneThing.com
