“There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:42 (NLT) The heart of this ministry is to inspire a love for God’s Word and encourage the discipline of daily Bible reading and SOAP journaling. These are a few of our SOAP notes from today’s reading. We encourage you to read and journal on your own first, then join us in conversation about what God revealed to YOU today. Click HERE to go directly to the daily reading if you wish.

My guide to health | guest post

S~ Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil.  This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. Proverbs 3: 7,8 (NIV)

O/A~ Health to my body and nourishment to my bones….thoughts that excite me!  I love learning about health and nourishing my body with food that makes me feel good.  The Word says to not be wise in my own eyes, fear the Lord, shun evil.

Do not be wise in my own eyes.  Even though I read a lot about health and study this area – it doesn’t make me wise.  Any wisdom I’ve gained is from the Lord.  Any healing I’ve had is a gift from God!  Fear the Lord.  He is the Creator of my body, of the food that goes into it, He knows ALL.  Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.  Be in awe and wonder of what God has done, also a deep respect for how beautiful He has made our bodies!

Shun evil.  Don’t just turn my back to evil – don’t associate/speak/interact/ be involved in any way with it.  Cut evil out of my life.

P~ Abba, thank You for the true gift of health!  Thank You for returning pieces of my health back to me!  I ask You for more and more health and healing of disease!  In Jesus’ Name I pray!

Our team would love the privilege of praying for you! Please share how we can lift you in prayer at prayer@DiscoverOneThing.com
