Strength and Peace | Marisa Hartman

S~ The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace. Psalm 29:11 (NIV)

O~ In this psalm David is talking about the majesty and power of God. He reminds himself throughout the passage, that all the glory goes to our powerful God. His strength is something to marvel at.

A~ Today I got the news that my children’s grandfather has passed away. This man treated me as his daughter from the 1st moment I met him. My heart is Broken. Even though his son and I are no longer together,  I still think of him as my father-in-law. G was a man who lived life his own way. He loved God and his family to the best of his ability. Today, my oldest son told me that his grandpa taught him what it meant to be a man. I’m so glad he did. G touched many people’s lives through music. G could play any instrument you put in front of him and was a master pianist. He taught high school band and continued to play professionally until very recently. Many admired the kind of stand up man he was. He will be sorely missed.

P~ Lord, bring your strength to my family and the friends and loved ones who are grieving. Bless all of those hurting with your peace. Amen
