Be a woman of prayer FIRST | guest post
S~ In return for my friendship they accuse me, but I am a man of prayer. Psalm 109:4 (NIV)
** In Acts 1, Peter quoted a verse out of Psalm 109. I rabbit trailed to Psalm 109 and found this gem for today**
O~ David was being accused of something. People were lying about him. I love how David turns to God in this.
A~ My kids accused me of being a helicopter parent the other day. Is it true? Or were they training to deflect the issue we were discussing? Instead of staying on course with our discussion, I immediately rushed to defend myself of being a helicopter parent. I listed out all their freedoms, and connected my great parenting skills to them.
Mmmmmm. Were my kids convinced that I’m not a helicopter parent? I’m not sure. Did we (I) get sidetracked from our discussion? We (I) did. Maybe going to the Lord in prayer in regards to my parenting would have been a better idea instead of defending my parenting.
