January 30, 2019 Exodus 2,3; John 19:28-20:18

“There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:42 (NLT) The heart of this ministry is to inspire a love for God’s Word and encourage the discipline of daily Bible reading and SOAP journaling. These are a few of our SOAP notes from today’s reading. We encourage you to read and journal on your own first, then join us in conversation about what God revealed to YOU today. Right Where You are Supposed to Be | Kimi Miller

S~ When the child grew older, she took him to Pharaoh’s daughter and he became her son. She named him Moses, saying, “I drew him out of the water.” Exodus 2:10 (NIV)

O~ Pharaoh’s daughter “adopted” Moses, and he grew up in the palace, only to wander the desert for 40 years as a runaway, before God called him for His purpose. What was the point of that?

Because Moses needed to learn palace protocol.

How else would he have known Pharaoh’s ways? He had to experience it to prepare him for his purpose.

A~ Just like Moses, You have placed each of us exactly where we need to be so we can learn what is necessary for our purpose. Every moment, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem at the time, as well as every giant life-changing one is a teaching moment. Preparing us through the experience, the remembrance, and the reflection. You use it all – everything we encounter – and somehow, You turn it to good and for Your glory when we surrender it to You.

P~ Thank You for Your sovereign hand, God. While some thing – some moments – may not make much sense at this time or on this side of heaven, I believe there is greater purpose in all of it, because I am confident You are in it.

Our team would love the privilege of praying for you! Please share how we can lift you in prayer at prayer@DiscoverOneThing.com
