“There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:42 (NLT) The heart of this ministry is to inspire a love for God’s Word and encourage the discipline of daily Bible reading and SOAP journaling. These are a few of our SOAP notes from today’s reading. We encourage you to read and journal on your own first, then join us in conversation about what God revealed to YOU today. Click HERE to go directly to the daily reading if you wish.

So The Works of God Might Be Displayed | Kimi Miller

S~ “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.” John 9:3 (NIV)

O~ The disciples were asking Jesus why this man was blind – believing that a person’s sin was the reason for their suffering.

A~ The fall is the result of sin, of disobedience and disbelief. The fall brought a curse, but Jesus brings redemption. Suffering is part of this world, but wholeness is part of God’s Kingdom. All the time, God is revealing Himself to the world – asking us to partner with Him, but still giving us a choice. A choice to see it, a choice to obey, a choice to take part. A choice, and a chance, to see His works displayed through us.

P~ God, thank You for Your sovereignty. Thank You for always revealing Yourself to us. Please give us eyes to see, ears to hear, and hearts to obey. May Your glory be revealed for the earth to see.

Our team would love the privilege of praying for you! Please share how we can lift you in prayer at prayer@DiscoverOneThing.com
