S~ The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down. Proverbs 14:1 (NIV)
** Occasionally, I will read the chapter of Proverbs that corresponds with that day **
O~ Contrast between wisdom and foolishness – building and tearing down. Besides physically building something and tearing something down, words and actions can do the same thing.
A~ I’ve torn things down with my foolish words, and have observed words tears things down as well. These things torn away take awhile to repair. I wise woman builds….I want to be a wise woman who builds.
I want to build up my kids, my husband, other women, my co-workers. Often though, if I’m tired, don’t feel good, or haven’t spent time with the One who gives wisdom – I end up tearing relationships down.
P~ Father, I love You! Grow in me a spirit that desires to build others up!
