“There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:42 (NLT) The heart of this ministry is to inspire a love for God’s Word and encourage the discipline of daily Bible reading and SOAP journaling. These are a few of our SOAP notes from today’s reading. We encourage you to read and journal on your own first, then join us in conversation about what God revealed to YOU today. Click HERE to go directly to the daily reading if you wish.

Complacent? | Kim Chipman

S~ At that time I will search Jerusalem with lamps and punish those who are complacent, Zephaniah 1:12a (NIV)

O~ One of the things God commanded the Israelites was to completely rid the land of pagans and idol worship. The people were “complacent” about the worship of other gods like Baal and Molek, but God will punish them for this sin.

A~ The word that stands out to me today is “complacent”. I see this in my heart and in my life in ways. I worship the idol of comfort and convenience. There are consequences for sin and this is no different.

P~ Lord, help me to remain alert and aware of Your promptings in my heart. Help me to worship You alone. Help me to not be complacent in my thinking, attitudes, and decisions. I love You!

Our team would love the privilege of praying for you! Please share how we can lift you in prayer at
