December 12, 2018 Micah 1-4; Luke 8:40-9:20

“There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:42 (NLT) The heart of this ministry is to inspire a love for God’s Word and encourage the discipline of daily Bible reading and SOAP journaling. These are a few of our SOAP notes from today’s reading. We encourage you to read and journal on your own first, then join us in conversation about what God revealed to YOU today. Click HERE to go directly to the daily reading if you wish.

All That I Need | Kimi Miller

S~ Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, looked up towards heaven, and blessed them. Then, breaking the loaves into pieces, he kept giving the bread and fish to the disciples so they could distribute it to the people. Luke 9:16 (NLT)

O~ Jesus made the impossible possible. The disciples brought what they had, and Jesus, in return, gave them what they needed.

A~ I’ve journaled on this passage before. It was at a time when I was just entering into ministry. I was afraid I would “run out” of teachings – that I wouldn’t have enough to give away – and I was right. None of us do without Jesus. We have to keep going back to Him, and He will always give us what we need. Always.

I’m not sure about a lot of things these days, but I do know You have me where you want me. You have blessed me with an incredible part-time job that gives me morning time with You. These past few weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind with coffee meetings, appointments, and holidays, and it left me a little undone. But this morning, I awoke tired, but refreshed, refocused. I don’t want to make the same mistake twice…again, anymore. Help me to come to You, Jesus. Help me to be okay with asking You for what I need. I know that what You give me is for the purpose of glorifying the Father and that I can’t do it alone.

P~ Forgive me Lord. Forgive me for the days I rush through without seeking You first. I love You, Jesus. I know that You are not done with me yet. and for that I am so very grateful. Thank you, Lord. I love You, too.

Our team would love the privilege of praying for you! Please share how we can lift you in prayer at
