“There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:42 (NLT) The heart of this ministry is to inspire a love for God’s Word and encourage the discipline of daily Bible reading and SOAP journaling. These are a few of our SOAP notes from today’s reading. Seek Me and live | Chelsea Horne

S~ ‘This is what the Lord says to Israel: “Seek Me and live; do not seek Bethel, do not go to Gilgal, do not journey to Beersheba. For Gilgal will surely go into exile, and Bethel will be reduced to nothing.”’ Amos 5:4-5 (NIV)

O~ “Seek Me and live;” this verse speaks profoundly to my heart because, in just these four words, there is so much truth. Jesus is my Source of life, love grace, redemption, and happiness. God is my Father, and by His Grace alone I have been freed from the chains of my past, present and future. Fear is a lie, but only in Him. His perfect Love drives out the fear, casts it away, that seeks to enslave my heart. Forever and always, I have been made whole in Jesus!

A~ I have a bad habit of putting my faith in the things of the world. Things that I know numb my heart to God’s Voice, because they numb my heart and mind to everything else. I don’t have to hide anymore! I can take each step that God has for me today with complete confidence in the Truth that He will be with me for every single one of them. That I will not face anything alone, and that there is nothing that I can say or do to lose Him.

Today, I will seek Him. I will seek His Love, Grace, and Peace. I will hide in the shadow of His Wings when life gets hard and I will rest my soul in the refuge of His Love for me. Today, I will seek Him and live.

P~ Lord Jesus, Thank You for reminding me that You are Life today. That the things that I have been seeking to give my heart rest will not satisfy. Thank You for reminding me of Your Loving Presence in my life. Please guide me today, Lord. Please lead my heart to Your Loving Arms, to rest and renewal in You.

In Your Name I pray,

A New Sabbath | Joni Tyner

S~ Then Jesus said to his critics, “I have a question for you. Does the law permit good deeds on the Sabbath, or is it a day for doing evil? Is this a day to save life or to destroy it?”  Luke 6: 9 (NLT)

O~ Jesus is at the synagogue on the Sabbath and sees a man with a deformed hand.  He senses the Pharisees are watching him, anxious to “catch him in the act” of healing on the Sabbath.  I love this!!!! Jesus is not intimidated at all, he brings the man to the front and heals him and gives us all an awesome teaching moment.

A~ For the past 3 weeks, I’ve been doing a study through Proverbs 31 ministries called  “Breathe” by Priscilla Shirer.  It is about understanding the Sabbath and how to live that out in a realistic way in 2018.  It really isn’t at all what I thought it would be!!!  I am now seeing the gift that God gives us to bring us closer to Him.  It not about following a bunch of rules—as Jesus shows in this scripture but rather living life FULL and having margin in our lives.   I really can’t recommend this book enough.  I thought I was loving Jesus and God, but this is changing my heart to be more joyful and…yes… RELAXED.  I feel like I’ve  “worked” away my last 30 years of Sundays by always thinking this and this and this and this need to be done .    I regret that.    I am excited to more forward and do things in my life differently— my desire is NOT to be legalistic or perfect, but to enrich my life in the best possible way. I also  believe God will bless me with a double portion (as He did with the Israelites and the manna) by making the Sabbath a priority .  Here is the link and I would say, give yourself the BEST CHRISTMAS PRESENT EVER and do this study—you’ll be so glad you chose this over another household gadget to get more work done.

P~ Thank you Lord for this gift that You gave me that I didn’t even know I wanted or needed.   I WAS SO WRONG!!!!!   I pray that the more margin that I give my week, the more I see You in everything I do.   Thank you for loving me so much that You didn’t leave me where I was…running myself to exhaustion.  I love You!!!

Our team would love the privilege of praying for you! Please share how we can lift you in prayer at
