“There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:42 (NLT) The heart of this ministry is to inspire a love for God’s Word and encourage the discipline of daily Bible reading and SOAP journaling. These are a few of our SOAP notes from today’s reading. We encourage you to read and journal on your own first, then join us in conversation about what God revealed to YOU today. First off, sorry this post is so late in the day! Our writing team took a couple days away on retreat together. We had time to unplug, decompress, relax, pray, plan, read, focus, learn, listen, and laugh together. We grew closer to each other as a team and closer to Jesus. We took time to get quiet so that we could hear Him.
We love you so much and our heart’s desire is for you to know Him intimately through His Word. Read it for yourself. Listen to His prompting, His leading, His guiding. DO what it is He asks You to do. We talked a lot about priorities, being intentional, choosing what and who we really want to be then living like that each and every day. We talked about our regrets and His redemption. We talked about leading ourselves well. Each and every day counts for eternity, each thought and decision matter, no matter how small they seem at the time.
Here are a few teachings we listened to:
I would challenge each of you to think on a few things. Who do YOU want to be? What are you doing to grow your faith, to keep your heart full, to grow and sharpen your talents? What are you doing to get quiet enough to hear Him? Who are you building relationships with? Take some time to deeply, prayerfully reflect on these things. Quiet your heart and listen.
You will never regret pursuing Him with all you’ve got. He is so worth it.
Love and blessings to each of you, from each of us!
Our team would love the privilege of praying for you! Please share how we can lift you in prayer at prayer@DiscoverOneThing.com
