Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:42 (NLT) The heart of this ministry is to inspire a love for God’s Word and encourage the discipline of daily Bible reading and SOAP journaling. These are a few of our SOAP notes from today’s reading. We encourage you to read and journal on your own first, then join us in conversation about what God revealed to YOU today. Click HERE to go directly to the daily reading if you wish.

Thankful, Goodness, Love | Kim Chipman

S~ Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. Psalm 118:29 (NIV)

O~ This is on the wall in my kitchen. These words are in the Bible 18 times. EIGHTEEN. Seems like something You repeat so often is something I should take note of. In the midst of reading Jeremiah and Revelation…so much judgement for sin…it is refreshing to remember this part of your character as well.

A~ 1. Give thanks to the Lord – a heart of gratitude is a good heart posture for me. I have SO MUCH to be grateful for. It is easy to see things I don’t have that I want, or things in my life I don’t want there or would change, but there is no joy or peace in focusing on that. Nor does it give You glory.

2. He is good – You are SO good.  you know what’s best for me and what I need.

3. His love endures forever – You love me so much. Unconditionally. It’s really hard to wrap my mind around it. I don’t deserve it, yet there You are.

These 3 things You repeat exactly over and over in Your Word. Even more times in different ways. Must be important to keep in my heart and mind!

P~ Help me to remember this and focus my heart this way! I love You!
