YOU are my Hope & Confidence | Kimi Miller
S~ But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. Jeremiah 17:7 (NLT)
O~ I find my hope and confidence in You, because You are my hope and confidence. My hope is God! My confidence is God! You don’t give me these things, You ARE these things.You give me YOU!
A~ (I was struggling to find the words in what I knew God was showing me, so I wrote out this prayer, and then immediately wrote the following. When we are at a loss for words or understanding, if we ask Him, He will answer every time.) Lord, I know You are revealing something deeper to me here, but I’m struggling for the words. Help me, Lord.
When I put my confidence and hope IN something, I still hold the power to take it back. But when my hope and confidence ARE someone, it’s completely dependent on that person. I’m at their mercy. I’ve submitted to them – given them authority and access to every part of my life – my heart. This is the very core of faith – to trust and believe.
P~ God, You are so good to me. Thank You for this deeper revelation. You truly are my confidence and my hope. I love You, Lord.
