October 1, 2018 Isaiah 25-28; Revelation 1:1-8

“There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:42 (NLT) The heart of this ministry is to inspire a love for God’s Word and encourage the discipline of daily Bible reading and SOAP journaling. God’s Amazing Party | Joni Tyner

S~ In Jerusalem, the LORD of the Heaven’s Armies will spread a wonderful feast for all the people of the world.

It will be a delicious banquet with clear, well-aged wine and choice meat. There He will remove the cloud of gloom, the shadow of death that hangs over the earth. He will swallow up death forever!  The Sovereign LORD will wipe away all tears. He will remove all insults and mockery against His land and people.  The LORD has spoken!!!!!  Isaiah 25:6-8 (NLT)

O~ Isaiah is sharing a prophecy of God’s feast in heaven. It is for all people, Jews and Gentiles who trust in Him. (see Isaiah 25:9—“In that day the people will proclaim, ‘this is our God, we trusted in Him and He saved us!’)

A/P~ Dear Lord, I so love this image of celebrating with all of Your believers at the banquet table on day when I’m in Heaven.  I think about so many people who have endured unimaginable pain and heartache on this earth.    I’m in awe… trying to imagine how thrilling it will be to see persecuted believers celebrating at the feast as well as so many people  with physical illness, depression, and crazy hard life circumstances.  There is such beautiful hope for those who struggle on this earth.  This motivates me to continue to share Your truth with others.  I want everybody at this party!!!!! Thank you for this hope.

Faith and Trust in Jesus | Chelsea Horne

S~ You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord Himself, is the Rock eternal. Isaiah 26:3-4 (NIV)

O~ I have been putting my trust in everything and everyone except God. When I am scared or worried about a situation, I don’t run to Jesus. I don’t run to the safety of His Love, and I don’t trust Him, as a result, to guide me from there. I have been looking to my friends and family for advice. I want to start putting my trust, solely, in Jesus. Going to Him, in prayer, about anything and everything in my life – and learning to trust Him and have faith in His Love and Sovereignty with the outcome.

A~ In order for me to build my trust with Jesus, I have to practice it. I have to practice trusting Him. To live as if God has already answered my prayers because, technically, He has. He had an answer in motion before the words that held the cares of my heart had even left my lips. I want to learn to live with intentional, applicable faith. To proclaim God’s Victory in my life before I see it with my human eyes.

P~ Lord Jesus, There’s probably a reason why the song “Crazy Faith” has been on my heart for the past two days. You are asking me to trust You and to have faith in You. “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1

Please help me to have confidence in You, and in whatever way that You answer my prayers. Please help me and teach me to rely on You. Also, please help me to experience Your Love in such a way that my heart will respond to You with trust and thanksgiving, Lord. Thank You for being so patient with me, and for always being there for me!

In Your Name I pray,
