S~ When there is moral rot within a nation, its government topples easily. But wise and knowledgeable leaders bring stability. Proverbs 28:2 (NLT)

O~ I can’t help but think about our own country when I read this proverb, and it makes me sad. If I only read the first half, I’m left in despair. But the second half states, “but wise and knowledgeable leaders bring stability.” This gives me hope!

A~ Religion and politics – the two taboo subjects in most conversations with another person. But maybe that is why we’ve gone astray – because we DON’T talk about the issues that matter most. I know I don’t.

But God’s word says that wise and knowledgeable leaders bring stability. Can’t that still be us? Can’t each of us, in our own way and in our own circles, be the wise and knowledgeable leaders that bring stability?

If we started with humble hearts and prayer, I wonder how we could transform this nation from the ground up, rather than the top down? Isn’t that what it was based on anyway? Aren’t we ALL called to be wise and knowledgeable? Isn’t that the opportunity our forefathers were seeking for ALL of us?

So why do we take opportunities for growth and change for granted? Why don’t we rise up as leaders who stand for something?

Perhaps it is because we are unsure of what it is we stand for.

P~ God, I thank you for America. I thank You for Your sovereign hand in everything. Rescue our nation, Lord. Surround our President with wise and knowledgeable leaders, and open his ears to listen, Jesus. On behalf of our nation, we cry out to You – the Only One Who saves. To You be the glory.

Our team would love the privilege of praying for you! Please share how we can lift you in prayer at
