God’s Perfect Plan | Joni Tyner
S~ For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And the ransom he paid was not mere gold or silver. (verse 18)
O~ God’s plan from the beginning of time was to save me. This saving is more than avoiding Hell, it is saving me from a empty life with no purpose or joy.
S~ It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God. (verse 19)
O~ The price to save me was something that can not be calculated. My salvation is because God the Father, sacrificed His perfect son, Jesus, to die in place of my sin.
S~ God chose him as your ransom long before the world began, but He has now revealed him to you in these last days. (verse 20)
O~ It was God’s plan from the beginning of time, even before He created the world, to sacrifice His son on the cross for me. God had a plan for His son from the beginning as He also has a plan for my life.
1 Peter 1:18-20 (NLT)
A~ I have fresh awe this morning in being reminded of the power and greatness of my Creator. Nothing that happens in this world surprises Him. God chose Jesus to be The Way and He chose Joni to be a child of His. This is a big deal and I should trust Him to do what He says He will do. This statement is critical to growing my faith, especially when life’s circumstances discourage me.
P~ Dear Lord, help me to always remember this truth. You are God and I am not. Thank you for choosing me.
