“There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:42 (NLT) The heart of this ministry is to inspire a love for God’s Word and encourage the discipline of daily Bible reading and SOAP journaling. These are a few of our SOAP notes from today’s reading. We encourage you to read and journal on your own first, then join us in conversation about what God revealed to YOU today. Click HERE to go directly to the daily reading if you wish.

The fruit of my lips | guest post

S~ Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise – the fruit of lips that confess His name. Hebrews 12:15 (NIV)

O~ The fruit of having the Spirit inside of me is: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self control.  The fruit of lips that confess Jesus as Lord is: a continually praising of God.

A~ I’ve always known the fruit of the Spirit are these God-given gifts, but never did I connect lips that praise God are a gift for lips that confess Jesus as Lord.

Some things are weighing heavy on me (work issues, parenting, health issues.)  So much so that I’m dreaming about challenges that I’m facing, losing sleep, and deeply hurt by the state of a close relationship.  If I look back at the last couple of months, praising God continually was not on my lips.  So I wonder if I’ve been waking up each morning and acting like I’m the Lord of my life instead of Jesus?

P~ Father, forgive me!  Thank you for these challenges that I’m facing!  Thank You for being the King of my life, so no matter what I’m facing, You are in charge.  Let me be faithful in these things that I may bring You honor and glory through these challenges!  I love You!

Our team would love the privilege of praying for you! Please share how we can lift you in prayer at
