Strength in Mercy | Chelsea Horne

S~ And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. 2 Timothy 2:24 (NIV)

O~ I love the path that God has been taking me down in His Word. I have had to face many skeletons of my past, and I have started to question who I am. But God has been showing me that there is absolutely nothing wrong with me! Where some of my family and friends call me a fool, Jesus says that I am loved. He is proud of me for it! This goes way beyond words on a page. This hits me right at my core, and it’s from the Living Word of God. What the world may call us fools for, Jesus tells us that He loves and is proud of us! I didn’t realize how badly I needed to hear/ read this!

A~ I can continue being unapologetically myself because my Heavenly Father is proud of me! He doesn’t call me foolish or naive, He calls me loved and cherished. My spiritual gift of Mercy was given to me by God. The world may see it as weak, but to God, it is strength. His Strength, in me.

P~ Father, Please help me to fully embrace every part of myself. Everything about me was made by You! Please help me to stand on the Truth that I am dearly loved by You when the world tries to chastise my heart and put me down. Please help me to also remember that those that do this are also dearly loved by You. Give me the courage and the faith to pray for those that hurt me, and to surrender any and all bitterness towards them to You. Please teach me to see them through Your Eyes, and with Your Heart. Teach me to be proud of my gifts, and please help me to glorify You so that others will see You in me. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen

Our team would love the privilege of praying for you! Please share how we can lift you in prayer at prayer@DiscoverOneThing.com

  1. What good SOAP notes, Chelsea! It is like finding buried treasure within ourselves when we can fully begin to understand how cherished and loved we are by our Father who created us. The world’s opinion of me may change from day to day, my family and friends may very in their feelings toward me …BUT GOD does not change. He is mine, I am His, end of story!!! Have a blessed day, Child of God!!
