Contentment | Joni Tyner

S~ Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. 1 Timothy 6:6 (NLT)

O~ Paul is reminding us that a content, Christlike heart is more valuable than great wealth.

A~ This is one of those statements that I believe but needs constant realignment in my life.  I can so easily get sucked into the wanting of the next  _____.  For me, it is more about wanting more life experiences, more time with my kids and husband, time with friends,  wanting to travel and do different things.  I don’t think desiring these things are bad but I do need to be careful that I don’t want those things so much that I can’t enjoy being present in the here and now.  I want to slow down and be content  moment of my day.  It truly is a blessing.

P~ Dear Lord, please infuse me with a deep, abiding sense of gratitude for each moment of each day.  This life is a beautiful gift and I feel so blessed to be your child.  I pray for wisdom to balance activities and to know what to pursue and what to let go for this season of my life.
