S~ Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers. 1 Timothy 4:16 (NIV)
O~ This verse brings to mind the sermon at my church on Sunday (which was AWESOME if you want to watch it HERE). Our pastor talked about a book by Andy Stanley called The best Question Ever. The question is, “What is the wise thing to do?” The sermon premise was: wise choices will draw us closer to the heart of God.
A~ Watch my life and doctrine closely. Gosh it’s easy to drift off. To make compromises. To go with the flow of the people around me. So. Easy. I need to persevere in what YOU would want. The wise thing to do. Every time this should be my goal. This will draw me close to You.
P~ Lord, help me to make the wise choice. Help me to watch my life and doctrine closely. Help me to persevere for You so I stay close to You. I love You!
