S~ We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy. Colossians 1:11 (NLT)
O~ Paul is tell the Colossians specific ways that he prays.
A~ My Bible notes point out that whether we know someone or not, these are always good things to pray for—
- Pray they will understand what God desires them to do
- For increased spiritual wisdom
- That their lives honor and please God
- Their lives produce every kind of good fruit
- Have a increasing desire to know God better
- Be strengthen by God’s glorious power
- Have endurance and patience
- Be filled with joy
- Have a heart of gratitude.
P~ Dear Lord, you know I’m so weak when it comes to prayer. I ask that You would give me an increased desire to pray for people and that my prayers would help others to be filled Your presence and experience Your glory. I pray these things for myself, that I would understand what You desire of me and that my actions and words would give You glory. I also ask for patience while I wait to see answered prayer. I pray for joy in the midst of life’s daily inconveniences and annoyances. Thank you for loving me and choosing me to be Your child.
