ALWAYS | Kim Chipman

S~ Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always. 1 Chronicles 16:11 (NIV)

O~ David appointed Levites to minister before the Ark of the Lord by extolling, thanking, and praising the Lord.

My study Bible points out: “4 elements of true thanksgiving are found in this song (psalm): 1. remembering what God has done 2. telling others about it 3. showing God’s glory to others 4. offering gifts of self, time, and resources. If you are truly thankful your life will show it.”

A~ I really appreciate this portion of this chapter today. I need to remember to praise You. I can rely on Your strength. I need to seek Your face ALWAYS.  I need to remember and be thankful.

P~ Lord, fill my heart and thoughts. Help me to focus on You. I love You!

Expressing Faith in Love | Kimi Miller

S~  For when we place our faith in Christ Jesus, there is no benefit in being circumcised or uncircumcised. What is important is faith expressing itself in love. Galatians 5:6 (NLT)

O~  Faith expressing itself in love. Love thinks of others before it’s own well-being. I try to measure up first – prove that I’ve figured some things out. But those things I do, I do for myself – not love. Jesus did everything out of love. Everything He did, He did it in accordance with the greatest law of all – Love. Love for God and love for His people.

A~ I want to be moved by love. I want love to be the reason I do anything – everything.

P~ Help me to be more like You, Jesus. As I sit here and reflect on things I’ve learned from my time in ministry, the greatest of these is love. Help me to judge less and love more. Help me to lead with genuine compassion that comes from a genuine love for You and Your people. Please, Father, help me to love others well. Forgive me for the quick judgments I make. Help me to express my faith in love.
