S~ But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news.” Romans 10:14-15 (NLT)
O~ Paul is reminding us that people will NOT learn about Jesus unless believers go and tell them.
A~ This scripture is a great reminder that God needs people to GO! People can’t be saved until they hear the good news. I believe that each believer has a mission field in their own sphere of influence: this is our families, our neighbors, co-workers, people we do life with. I believe it also includes helping others who are missionaries through financial support and other types of encouragement. We all can be a part of the ripple effect of spreading the gospel!
P~ Dear Lord, give me a responsive heart that acts on needs that spread Your Good News. Thank you for the millions of missionaries over the years who have sacrificed their own personal agenda to share their faith with those who don’t know You. I pray for renewed energy for each missionary that is out doing your work and that they have the needed money, physical strength and emotional reserve to do their calling with excellence. I pray Your blessings abundantly pour onto their work and many more people come to learn and know and believe in You.
