Undeserved Kindness | guest post

S~ Yet God, with undeserved kindness, declares that we are righteous.  He did this through Christ Jesus when He freed us from the penalty for our sins.  Romans 3:24 (NLT)

O~ Paul is talking to well-educated believers in Rome about Jesus, grace, and what truly saves a person.

A~ Just soaking in this truth today.  Jesus freed me and every believer from having to pay back all the sin I’ve committed in the past, what sin I commit today, and my future sin.  He knew it all and still decided to lay down His life for me.  Whoa!

I have no idea why this is Their plan.  Maybe this insight to God’s character gives me a clue, undeserved kindness.

The God of the universe would call me out of billions of people through the world and time and call me righteous. Unbelievable, but true!  I am righteous, I am FREE!

P~ Father, how are my words enough thanks?  Take this life, all that I am and use me for Your cause.  I love You!

ALL Fall | Kim Chipman

S~ for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. Romans 3:23-24 (NIV)

O~ grace = unmerited favor. We can’t earn it. It’s a gift freely given to ALL. Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

And we ALL sin. We are ALL in the same boat.

A~ Feeling judged by another person is painful. The thing is, judgement has a root in pride. That somehow I know better or can draw conclusions about another person or situation. I need to examine my heart and see if there’s any of that lingering in me. It is not loving. It is not from You. Sin separates me from You and it is a universal affliction. The foot of the cross is level ground. We all have a unique life and journey, but it is not my job to judge anyone else’s journey.

Recently my family went to see the movie The Shack. I had read the book years ago and was anxious to see the movie when it came out. In one scene the main character in the movie is offered the opportunity to sit in God’s judgement seat. He was spending a lot of time and energy judging other people and even God, so would he like to sit in that seat? You know, since he knows so much? That was a powerful visual for me. I know I’m not equipped for that responsibility yet sometimes pride tells me I am.

The foot of the cross is level ground. We ALL fall short. We are ALL justified freely by His grace through Jesus. ALL.

P~ Lord, help me to remain humble and loving. If there is anything in my heart that is otherwise please help me see it so I can get rid of it. The cry of my heart is to bring you praise
