S~ But when Pharaoh saw that there was relief, he hardened his heart and would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the Lord had said. Exodus 8:15 (NIV)
O~ Each time Pharaoh was tormented he begged for relief, promised to let the Israelites go to worship God in the wilderness, then hardened his heart once relief came.
A~ Quite unfortunately I see myself in Pharaoh. There have been so many times in my life that I have been suffering consequences of my choices so I beg You for relief and promise to change. When relief comes I forget about my promise. Discomfort and suffering often bring out my best intentions and behavior…because I want the pain to stop. Once it does stop my discipline often does, too.
P~ Lord help me to be steadfast, not ruled by my emotions. Help me to be a person of my word and convictions. I love You
