I. Don’t. Get. It. | Kim Chipman

S~ For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. Habakkuk 2:14 (NIV)

O/A~ I’m working through this really difficult situation. It is all so terribly unfair. Why didn’t anyone help sooner? This could have been prevented. Why, Lord? Why is stuff like this allowed to happen?

Is this even the right question? Maybe. I am put here to represent You and draw others toward You. If I could do anything differently then self examination is worthwhile. There are lots of times that none of it has anything to do with me, though. Why can’t be answered in my limited brain capacity. Regardless, the time will come when the earth will be filled with the knowledge of Your glory. That isn’t happening just yet. BUT IT WILL.

Until then, continue to fill my heart with the knowledge of Your glory.

P~ Help me to continually trust that You are in control. Even – especially – when I can’t see it or don’t understand it. I love You!

Shamelessly persistent | guest post

S~ “And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for.  Keep on seeking, and you will find.  Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.”  Luke 11:9 (NLT)

O~ Jesus is telling us how to pray.  Keep asking, keep seeking, keep knocking and be shameless persistent about it!  Jesus Himself is giving permission for us to pray like this.

A~ Not all of my prayers are shamelessly persistent, but a couple of prayers of have followed me around since I really started walking with Christ.  One prayer being, “Lord, please let my children know You and love You and walk with You on a daily basis.”  I keep praying that prayer (or a version of it) over and over.  Besides asking Him, I also know that I need to seek to find something.  Seeking opportunities where my kiddos can hear about Him, maybe send them to church or youth group.  Seeking to find ways to bring Him into our ‘daily-ness’ of life.  And knocking on doors for an answer.  I picture this more as a physical thing….living my faith out wide out in the open, as messy and real as it is, so the kids can see who Jesus is in my life.  Apologizing and asking for forgiveness when needed or speaking kindly and full of grace about the slow cashier when we are in a big rush.  But most importantly, to never stop praying!

P~ Thank You Jesus for giving us permission to pray shamelessly persistent!  Please show me ways to seek You and to come knocking after You.  I love You!!!!  In Your Name!  Amen!

Our team would love the privilege of praying for you! Please share how we can lift you in prayer at
