He Is Worthy | Joni Tyner

S~ In the last days, the mountain of the LORD’s house will be the highest of all—

The most important place on earth.

It will be raised above the other hill, and people from all over the world will stream there to worship. Micah 4:1 (NLT)

O~ Micah is another prophet in the Old Testament that describes judgment to  Israel and Judah as well as hope to God’s people who continue to follow Him.   Micah 4:1 is describing when God will reign over his perfect Kingdom.

A~ Last evening my family and I had the opportunity to attend the Christmas Pageant at Westside Church in Omaha.  This body of believers beautifully portrayed the Christmas story and the purpose of Christmas—to have a personal relationship with Jesus.  My favorite part of the musical was the last song, “He is Worthy”. It was breath taking as their entire cast gave Him glory.  I’m guessing there was well over 100 people seeing their hearts out to the King. They had angels singing and dancing (on the floor and suspended from the ceiling), the “everyday” people and the Biblical characters.  It felt like a small glimpse of what worship will be like in heaven. I am reminded of this verse in Revelation.

“After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb.”   Revelation 7:9  (NLT)

Although I don’t have a  video of the Christmas pageant to share, I did find this You Tube video of the Revelation Song that beautifully shows bits of the Christmas story as well as the ministry of Jesus and why we worship Him as the King of Kings.  As you watch the video, pay attention to the people’s reaction as they encounter Jesus, they are so amazed by Him.

P~ Dear Lord, You are so worthy of my worship.  Please forgive me the countless times I’ve taken You and my faith for granted.  I ask that You instill an unending awe of Your Holiness and all You have created. I pray that as I encounter others this Christmas season I will reflect a bit of You.

Our team would love the privilege of praying for you! Please share how we can lift you in prayer at prayer@DiscoverOneThing.com
