A Lighter Heart | Kimi Miller

S~ I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them  heart of flesh. Ezekiel 11:19 (NIV)

O~ This is the new covenant accomplished through the blood of Jesus Christ.  No longer will we be dead in our transgressions, but we will receive new life and freedom through God’s love and sacrifice of His one and only Son.

A~ When the enemy remind me of my past, I need to remind him that I am no loner who I once was.  That because of Jesus Christ, I have been made new, and have been given a new heart.  Sometimes, when I am under spiritual attack the only thing I know to say is “Jesus.”  There is power in His name!  Darkness cannot remain where there is light.  When light enters the room, darkness flees.

We need to surrender our entire heart to God.  We must give Him access to every part of our lives.  We can’t be afraid of His Light, because it will bring healing.  That which remains in the dark is difficult to see, but that which is brought into the light is visible.  It’s in the Light that Truth is revealed.

P~ Jesus, Thank You for loving me enough that You would lay down Your life to save mine.  Thank You for my new heart.  I love You.  Amen.

Unbelief | guest post

S~ And because of their unbelief, He couldn’t do any miracles among them except to place His hands on a few sick people and heal them.  And He was amazed at their unbelief. Mark 6:5,6a (NLT)

O~ Jesus is back in His hometown, teaching and healing.  Yet, the people were offended with Him and didn’t believe.  Because of that, they missed out on the miracles.

A~ I see a connection in Scripture about unbelief and lack of miracles.  Where there isn’t belief, there isn’t miracles.  Nazareth missed out!

I want to brainstorm my unbeliefs in life:  inability to get healthy/lose weight, true change in relationships, my initial response to stress as an emotional mess vs. getting on my knees in prayer, or that I can change the way I think about some things.

But is my unbelief blinding me somehow to the miracles that God and Jesus want to do in my life?  I don’t want Jesus amazed at my unbelief anymore!

P~ Father, help my unbelief!  It’s been so long on so many things!  Thank You!
