Enjoy! | Kim Chipman

S~ So I decided there is nothing better than to enjoy food and drink and to find satisfaction in work. Then I realized that these pleasures are from the hand of God. For who can eat or enjoy anything apart from him? Ecclesiastes 2:24-25 (NLT)

O~ Solomon. Wisest man ever. Also richest man ever. Wrote all the Proverbs, then here I read how he really feels all of life is meaningless.

A~ I feel the same way most days! Like, seriously…what is the point of all this anyway!? Stuff isn’t fulfilling. So many things make this earth just NOT home. Can’t wait for heaven. But the conclusion of what IS valuable? Enjoy the day – enjoy the food and drink we have – enjoy and find satisfaction in our work. Sounds to me just like living in the moment. Enjoy what we can and don’t stress too much about anything else. We can’t truly enjoy anything apart from You anyway! I can work like crazy, but I can’t take anything with me when I go. If I’m not doing kingdom work it’s useless.

KIM, enjoy today! Live in the moment with God. Breathe. Find satisfaction and enjoyment and contentment in that. Loosen up a little. Enjoy!

P~ I love You! And I can’t wait to be home in heaven with You. But while I’m here, help me to live for today and enjoy.

Promises | Jill Terry

S~ The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 (NAS)

O~ Jesus is coming back. He isn’t being slow. He isn’t abandoning His people. Jesus will be back on His timetable, not mine. Only He knows when that is going to happen. Jesus wants no one to perish, but to be able to spend eternity in Heaven with Him. Someday, soon all believers will spend eternity with Jesus and this lifetime will be nothing but a blip on the screen.

A~ Jesus wants my two non-believer sons to be in Heaven with Him even more than I want them there. He loves them even more than I do. He is infinitely more patient than I am. I know He will relentlessly pursue them and that one day my sons will become believers. The depths of His love for my sons (and all of us) is unfathomable to me.

P~ Thank You Jesus for loving my boys and desiring to spend eternity with All of us. Amen
