God is incredibly patient | Deanna George
S~ But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. 2 Peter 3:8 (NIV)
O~ God’s time is not Earth’s time.
A~ I know I want answers in my time but unfortunately that doesn’t always match God’s timing. I can get so impatient, but God is going to work in his time and fulfill his will. I complain about having to be patient. Right now I can’t stop from wondering how he can be so patient with me, especially when I choose to be disobedient. How does he deal with it taking so long to choose him and to accept his gift of grace. I have been on this earth for a short 46 years and my patience has been tested more than I can count. At times my circumstances seem overwhelming, and I am just one person. God knows everyone’s heart, their trials, their desires, their failures, and their pain. Thank goodness he can handle it! Today, I am choosing to remember his day includes so much more than me, yet he he loves me so much to care about little old me. How freeing that is! It’s okay if my timing is not God’s because he is with me every step of the way.
P~ Lord Jesus, thank you for the reminder that my “time” is not ruler of my life. I don’t know the best timing for my circumstances because I do not know the whole story. I do need to be patient though! I need to trust you and your timing so that I may fulfill your plan for my life. Thank you for loving me along with every human out there. I love you right back.
