Kindness = Reverence | Kim Chipman
S~ Anyone who withholds kindness from a friend forsakes the fear of the Almighty. Job 6:14 (NIV)
O~ Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act. Proverbs 3:27 (NLT)
A~ There are times it is not convenient to be kind. I don’t want to. I don’t feel like it. Not in the mood. They don’t deserve it. Things aren’t fair. I’m tired. Whatever the case may be, I justify not putting forth the effort.
Anyone who withholds kindness from a friend forsakes the fear of the Almighty.
Living and loving like Jesus does not include withholding kindness because it’s inconvenient. It’s irreverent to You. Ouch.
P~ Lord, help me to serve You always and to be less selfish about extending kindness. Help me to honor You always, especially when it requires some sacrifice or I just don’t feel like it. I love You!
So if withholding kindness is irreverent to you…then this business that went down in Charlottesville, Virginia yesterday is the ultimate snub in Your face. This is deplorable and needs to be stopped.

Father I pray against the evil that exists in our world. I pray for the people whose hearts have been deceived. All people are precious in Your sight. ALL. To think otherwise is wrong and as Christians we must take a stand. Make it clear to each of us what our role is in our communities, in our individual lives, to speak out against any hint of supremacy or superiority of any group of individuals. Show us how we can fear You and revere You by showing Your kindness and love to ALL. In Jesus’ name I pray Amen.
Our team would love the privilege of praying for you! Please share how we can lift you in prayer at prayer@DiscoverOneThing.com
