Where Am I Looking? | Kim Chipman
S~ Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame. Psalm 34:5 (NIV)
O~ Those who LOOK TO HIM – not figure out how to please Him, perform for Him, get all perfect for Him, understand Him…just LOOK TO HIM.
Never covered with shame – I feel as though shame is like spiritual kryptonite. It disables anything I’m trying to do or grow in.
A~ I sat down today hoping for some stellar parenting advice. I’m struggling to parent one of my children from a place of love. I’m angry, hurt, and frustrated and that’s how our interactions look these days. I don’t like how I’m handling myself (insert: shame).
So, how to never be covered with shame? LOOK TO HIM
Stellar parenting advice! Don’t look at my feelings! Look to You. I’m confident this is exactly what I needed to hear today!
P~ Lord, help me! Help me to focus on You instead of my messy feelings of fear, anger, hurt, and frustration. Help me to be the best Mom I can for all my kids. I love them so much!
