Your True Character | Kim Chipman
S~ And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, “The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Exodus 34:6-7a (NIV)
O~ God said this to Moses. This is comforting to me today.
A~ I’m in the midst of the “Armor of God” study by Priscilla Shirer. One of the ways I can see satan’s attack is in my thoughts about myself. I can quickly and easily land in shame, feeling far from You because of my sin and feeling unforgivable and unworthy. This is a verse I can stand right up against those thoughts.
You are compassionate and gracious and forgiving. This is who You are! Filled with love!
P~ Thank You for this verse today. your very words. Your truth. Your character. I can’t be too far away from you and I don’t need to sit in my shame. Thank You for Your mercy, grace, compassion and love! I love You!
Trust Me | Luisa Penaherrera
S~ Three times each year all the men of Israel must appear before the Sovereign Lord, the God of Israel. No one will attack and conquer your land when you go to appear before the Lord your God those three times each year. Exodus 34:23, 24b (NLT)
O~ God knows our needs and our concerns. Here God is commanding that all men come out leaving their wives and children, homes and flocks vulnerable. But God assures them not to worry about this…he will take care of it, obey.
A~ My husband and I are facing financial issues. One great thing about it is that we are working together for the first time ever in this area. I am seeing with my physical eyes all the issues and yet I feel God tugging at my heart to keep my eyes on him and trust him.
What seems obvious to my physical eyes as something I should be concerned about, You tell me to trust you. You will provide.
P~ Father, thank you for walking through this with us. Help my heart be still and rest in you. Thank you for providing!
