But God | Kim Chipman

S~ “I cannot do it,” Joseph replied to Pharaoh, “but God will give Pharaoh the answer he desires.” Genesis 41:16 (NIV)

O~ Joseph was still sitting in prison. While imprisoned he had interpreted the dream of the kind’s cupbearer and chief baker. Once those men were released Joseph’s interpretation came true. Later (2 YEARS later!) Pharaoh had a dream he wanted interpreted and the cupbearer remembered Joseph. Pharaoh sent for Joseph and asked if he could interpret his dream. This was his response.

A~ Oh, how I love Joseph.

Right now I’m in the midst of the Armor of God study by Priscilla Shirer. This past week we looked at some of the ways Satan tries to come after the women of God. One thing that stood out to me is the thoughts that run through my mind like — Who do you think you are? You’re not equipped. You’re a mess. You have no idea what you’re doing, do you? Do you really think you can do that? — on and on and on the accuser taunts. And I usually buy it hook, line, and sinker.

But this response from Joseph can be my response to those taunts. I cannot…but God

God in me can. I’m not amazing on my own, I know that, but with You it’s a different story. The evil one will never run out of weaknesses, shortcomings and insecurities with me. There are plenty.

But God…

P~ Thank You for being my God, for being enough, for never ever failing, for being completely trustworthy. “I cannot…but God…” what sweet words. I love You!

One Way to God | Deanna George

S~ Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6 (NIV)

O~ There is only one way to God ~ Believe in Jesus. Accept that Jesus is the Messiah. No other way, except a personal relationship with Jesus.

A~ I am so thankful that I don’t have to figure out how to know God. I don’t have to work my way to salvation. I don’t have to try to fix myself so I am presentable to him. I don’t have to be perfect. I just need to go to Jesus. I just need to believe that he died for me and choose to have a relationship with him. He doesn’t care if I’m dirty or unworthy of his love. He cares that I am willing to know and follow him. There’s no guess work. He provided us with the ultimate, all we need self-help book, the Bible. God thought of everything. He knew we would need Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the Bible, and he willing provided all 3 so that we may have a personal relationship with him.

P~ Lord Jesus, thank you for knowing what we need. The price was heavy, but you thought we were worth it. Thank you for telling us there is only one way! In our world with so many options, you provided a clear and direct path to you. Thank you for forgiving our sins, providing us the Bible so that we may know you, and giving us the Holy Spirit as a guide and helper through this life on earth. Thank you!

Our team would love the privilege of praying for you! Please share how we can lift you in prayer at prayer@DiscoverOneThing.com
