The Lord, on My Side | Luisa Penaherra
S~ If the Lord had not been on our side—let Israel now say—if the Lord had not been on our side when people rose up against us, they would have swallowed us alive because of their burning anger against us. The waters would have engulfed us; a torrent would have overwhelmed us. Yes, the raging waters of their fury would have overwhelmed our very lives. Psalms 124:1-5 (NLT)
O~ This reminds me where my help comes from and as I walk in what you show me to do, you will show up and help me.
A~ I had this difficult conversation pending(well, it didn’t turn out to be difficult). The reasons I expected it to be difficult: I was afraid of the reaction I would get, and I wasn’t sure how to bring it up. I have been praying about it and an opportunity came, because the other person brought it up and it went well!
P~ Father, thank you helping me through tough stuff.
Deceived and Led Astray | Kim Chipman
S~ But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning,your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:3 (NIV)
O~ 1 Corinthians 16:13 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.
1 Peter 5:8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”
Ephesians 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
2 Corinthians 10:5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
A~ There is truly nothing new under the sun. Eve was deceived, people all throughout history have been deceived, and people are still deceived today. Including me. There is an enemy of my soul and he lies to me – and sometimes I believe it. Pursuing You through Your Word daily and continually thinking on truth is so important. I get off track lighning fast.
P~ Lord, help me to not allow my mind to be deceived and led astray. I happens so easily. Help me to stay focused on what is truly important for eternity. I love You!
